How long does an episode of braxton hicks go on for?

@Fliss thanks for the comment!! Did your stomach get tight with the BH? Mine is not doing that. I’ve never had BH or any tightening feeling in pregnancy . Now, just got period pain that gets intense in waves. Really not sure. On way to triage shortly!
Yeah they do, not for long though. It was mainly at the top of my bump to start with, but now I get waves of period pain or back pain with them too. The midwife told me that infections are heightened in pregnancy too and our symptoms can be so much worse than normal! Xx
Yours don't sound like braxton hicks. Might be worth a visit to triage for them to confirm if it's contractions or not. Braxton hicks are different to contractions which are more like period pains where braxton hicks shouldn't be as painful.
Well I’m in triage now and I’m in labour 🫠 I’m 3cm already Literally thought this baby was gonna be so late. Hadn’t dropped , no BH, no discomfort. NOTHING Now in labour at 37+0 🫠

He’s here 🥹 only 3 hours in labour. Came out in the pool. No time for pain relief. 5lb 11. Can’t believe it
@tasha they broke when I was probably about 9-10 cms , gushed out absolutely everywhere

I had braxton hicks for about 12 hours on Monday, they were getting worse as time went on and I genuinely thought I was in early labour! Spent 8 hours in triage, they confirmed I wasn’t in labour but I had a UTI! So definitely go and get checked out!! Xx
