Constant pooing

My son (breastfed) has been CONSTANTLY pooing for a few days. Way more than usual, like 10+ times a day. Not a lot comes out either. It’s clearly very uncomfortable for him and he’s got the worst nappy rash he’s ever had. It’s red raw, spotty and has spread across his bum and around his testicles too. His poo is also dark green. It ranges from kind of watery with little jelly like bits in them to stringy. One of them was pea green and wasn’t hard but wasn’t watery either, it was almost like play dough? It’s hard to describe 😅he isn’t getting too much foremilk, I only offer one breast a feed and I’m not an oversupplier so he isn’t having trouble getting to the hindmilk. It’s now also starting to affect his feeds. He’s drinking a lot less and making noises around the boob which he’s never done before. It’s like he’s only interested in snacking? He’s usually a boob monster and feeds often and for long periods too. He seems happy in himself for the most part, chatty and smiley, just seems unsettled when he poos and during feeds. I’m waiting for the health visitor to ring me back but I’m getting really worried. Has anyone else had this?

Teething?

We have almost exactly the same to this.. We've put it down to teething and also starting some solid foods... Have you tried Sudasalve nappy cream - best I've uses so far... almost for rid of it. Ours is formal fed. Xx

Thanks for the replies! I’ve rang 111, we might be having an out of hours doctor having a look at him. I’ll update what they say in case anyone else has had or will have a similar experience, hopefully it’s just teething 😭

Nothing yet unfortunately, they said the out of call doctor was going to ring me within the hour nearly 4 hours ago 🤦🏼‍♀️

Could have written this myself literally the same and I've put it down to teething too. Best thing I've found for the nappy rash is metanium cream and I let him air out a few times a day which helps

Has he had jabs or been unwell recently? My poor girl caught a cold, then had her jabs and then caught my husband's flu and she's teething so is very much like this 😢 I took her to the GP last week because she was literally pooping every hour, off her milk, barely sleeping etc. Seems to slowly be improving now but it's been a horrible month. She doesn't have nappy rash but I always find metanium good when they do. X
