Going to France for the day! Any tips? ⛴️

Going to France for a day trip soon! I’m feeling a bit nervous because it’s a very long day we don’t come home until midnight and we leave early hours of the morning. Any tips? God knows how we’re gonna do his bottles all this time as well! I’m thinking we’re gonna take the flask for the first couple and then we have to do maybe two premade bottles. Any tips would be great

Hey Mama! We did a trip to Belgium last week so I know how you feel! Although it wasn't a day trip, it was still about 5 hours door to door. However, the journey there was broken up which really helped (Folkestone for the Eurotunnel) I made sure I timed his feeds to make sure when we stopped at Folkstone it was time for another. Also meant he got out of the car seat. I used ready made bottles and took lots of empty bottles with me. He actually slept most of the journey. You have to make sure you get him out of the car seat after 2 hours. Pack extra muslins and bibs to save you having to change his clothes. It really wasn't that bad to be honest, much easier than I expected. How are you getting there?? Sorry I assumed you're driving but you might not be lol x

@Lemees thank you for the reply! That’s really helpful so we only live about 30 minutes away from Dover. We’re getting the ferry over and then driving to Bruges, I think. we haven’t fully decided if we spending the day in France or gonna go into Belgium usually I just take formula and use a flask but obviously the floss won’t last that long I don’t think we get home till about 12 at night and also we leave very early in the morning x

Ok that's great! There's chances for you to take baby out the car seat! We stopped off in Brugges on the way back actually! I took lots of ready made formula as didn't want the hassle of flasks and pots of formula. I ended up having to throw some of it away as didn't have a cooler for the opened bottles but it was so much easier, quicker and hassle free. From what you've said I don't think you'll have a stretch of your journey longer than 2 hours where your baby is in the car seat so they'll be fine! Have a great time!!

@Lemees thank you for all your help 😊
