I'm sorry for your loss x No advice as such but the same thing happened to me - I've got a three week-old who was conceived directly after a miscarriage with no period in between. I didn't do anything special to 'help' this pregnancy that was different from my other pregnancies, but just wanted to reassure you that every pregnancy is different and nothing you did or didn't do will have caused your loss. However, I did get straight in touch with the EPU and had an early reassurance scan (I did also have a very early miscarriage three years earlier so it wasn't my first loss).
Thank you so much this is really helpful and reassuring and I’ve been taking folic acid since my MC so hopefully that will help me and I’m gonna try aspirin as keep hearing things about it ❤️
@Katherine how quick did they give u progesterone ? As mine won’t until ur 6weeks
@Paige the criteria depend on the trust you’re with, I think I got mine at 6/7 weeks. They scanned me and found a heartbeat then prescribed it :)
@Katherine after multiple losses they told me at 6weeks once the pregnancy was viable they would prescribe it but I had a mc at 4/5 weeks so was too late .
What if you’ve only had one loss will they give it to you then or do you have to have multiple losses xx
I had a miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy, most places don’t count the chemical as a loss so technically only had one loss in their eyes and they still prescribed it.
I think every were is different my epu won’t do it until after 3 losses not including a chemical
@Paige that’s so sad😭 everyone deserves access to it in my opinion! I swear that it’s helped me to get to this point🥺 I’m so sorry that your trust is like that!
@Katherine it’s disgusting tbh after 4 losses my last being 2 weeks ago only now I’ve been referred to a recurrent mc clinic to get them . I begged them from the day of my positive test and basically told me untill they see it viable with a heart beat they won’t prescribe it I mc at 4/5 weeks so didn’t get to that point
@Katherine what aspirin did you take? Did you buy over the counter or have a doctor prescribed for you.
@Marnie yes 75mg u can buy over counter xx
@Paige thank you xx
I took aspirin, pregnacare vitamins and folic acid from my first test. I then got myself in at the EPU who prescribed progesterone. I’m now 24 weeks☺️ I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you🤞🏼☺️
