VBAC?

Hey there!!
I'm 20 weeks pregnant. I've been thinking about delivery..
I had an emergency c section with my daughter at 35 weeks due to health complications and risk of infection. Induction was horrible.

However, my obgyn has discussed vaginal birth with me.

Have any of you had a vaginal birth after C-section? How was it? Was it worth it when it came to recovery time?

Following. I'm hoping for a VBAC so I can lift my toddler, but I'm interested to see what others have to say!

I haven't, but I gotta say that a planned c-section is 1,000,000x better than an emergency one.

Emergency c-section Sept 2019 after laboring for a full day (was induced). So, I was exhausted and completely stressed about the health of baby going into the cesarean.

I hoped for a VBAC for my May 2023 baby, but with excess fluid (higher risk of cord prolapse), prior c-section, and no sign of contractions, I made it to the scheduled c-section day. Went in "well rested" (as rested as you can be in anticipation) and recovery was SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Did I want a VBAC? Yes. Did my scheduled c-section go incredibly well? Yes.

I've heard this! My plan right now is to schedule the C-section and hope I go into labor beforehand. I am NOT getting induced again.

I'm more so leaning towards scheduled c section. Induction was horrible. They had me turning like a rotisserie chicken in the bed and I hadn't slept in...idk how long. I hardly remember specifics because I was under the influence of mag drip. It was not a beautiful experience. If I can plan everything, I'll have somewhat a sense of control and that gives a little bit of comfort.

I also have a toddler, so I worry about restrictions after surgery. She's very rambunctious and clings to me. That's why I was thinking about VBAC

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

I am so done with pregnancy !

Everything i do hurt . I sit down / i stand up / i walk / i lie down. I am in pain ! I am tired ! His mouvement hurt down there like electricity chock ! My back is on fire ! If i walk more then 5 minutes i feel like i am going to die ( low ferritine) the acid reflux is crazy . I mean i can’t and don’t wanna do this no more . Only 31 weeks !

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
