You can once your OB checks you off. I don't have my appointment until 10w PP due to no appointment availability and they advised me to stick to all restrictions until I am looked over. I'm sure it's just to cover their azzes but on the off chance it's not I don't wanna take that chance

@Favi im from uk im not sure if anyone else does but no one has said anything to me about an anyone checking me over pp?

I got sent a letter and had to phone doctors surgery to book in for PP check x

I was told to wait till I was cleared at 6 weeks but I didn't wear a tampon for another couple of months because it made me nervous

@Kylie fr scared for it but im really bad with pads i get extremly heavy periods so with bass i cant move eithought getting blood everywhere so gonna have to bite the bulket😂xx

@Amber I got sent a letter for my daughters six week check but nothing about me xx

Incognito, I also have really heavy periods, so I didn't use pads. I just continued to use the diapers I was in for the pp bleeding

@Incognito When I first got my iud in the bleeding was so bad for a month and a half that I wore post partum diapers because pads and tampons were NOT cutting it.

6wk check in the UK was pointless for me, I had a 2nd degree care, wasn't checked, dr didn't even know how I gave birth!! All I was asked was about contraception and my how I was feeling.

@Kath I had a second degree tear on the verge of being a third that’s been infected for 5 weeks now and they just keep putting me on the same antibiotics that arnt working🤦‍♀️there useless they havnt even given me a six week check up xxx

@Victoria I used to use tampons and pads together bc of how heavy my periods are but the postpartum diapers are so exspensive😩😩

Ugh true 😞 I was working part time back then and it killed my entire budget almost

Once you’re cleared by your OB

Wait at least 12 weeks but from Your comments you’ve had an infection so I would wait at least 5 months. I’m in uk too. They advise nothing for the first 3 months

Until it feels comfortable I tried but that burn was unreal 😂

@Anita it burns🙈oh god now I’m scared😂

Pads are foreign to me, I've been using tampons for over 20yrs I had to coat them in vaseline 4 weeks in after my failed first attempt 😩 not medically advised though
