Thank you , I’m considering placing my baby in nursery atleast once a week, just nervous what to expect @Julia
My baby officially started today and he’s 9.5 months. I also started work today in the same nursery just a different room. It can be really great for their development but also understand why some people choose not to
mines been in nursery 2 days for 6 weeks now and he’s 9 months. He’s been doing so well, he’s started waving hi and bye and can blow a kiss (sometimes haha) he’s come along so quickly since going. They did say ideally if you can to do two mornings etc instead so maybe this could be a good option for you? X
@Julia how did your baby do settling in?
@Asharnah the first few times she cried as I was dropping her off but quickly “forgot about me” once being distracted by colours and toys. They kept me very much in the loop throughout the day so I knew what was going on and she seemed comfortable. After about a week or two she started going without crying
My little girl has been going 1.5 days a week since 8 months old and she absolutely loves it she has the biggest smile when she gets dropped off and picked up. She has definitely become a lot more independent and I have seen a massive increase developmentally since starting.
My baby started going at 8 months old and it was hard the first week maybe two but he absolutely loves it now, he’s 11months! He goes full time as I work at the daycare too. I was nervous at first because he hadn’t been around other babies but he does so good with them and he started learning how to do things from them I think
@Victoria so lucky to still be working in the same building as him! How has he been finding nursery
@Sophie that’s encouraging to hear ! About the new things he’s learnt, I’ll definitely take how often he should go into nursery into consideration x
@Tahleah I feel encouraged already, thanks ! X
@Kori thanks so much xx
my son is starting part time nursery next week, he’s 2 and a half. I’m a sahm. I think it’s beneficial but can be damaging if they attend full time (in my opinion).
@Abbie this sounds really encouraging thanks for this !! X
Try to postpone it as much as possible

@April I still want to wait till he can atleast walk but why do you recommend I postpone it just curious x
I think 11 months is still really young for nursery. If you’re a sahm then just take him to lots of playgroups for now.
He absolutely loves it. He’s upset to begin with having to leave me but they send me photos to update me and whenever I walk past the baby room I can see him exploring and having fun
My baby went for 1 day when she was 9 months old as I needed her watched for the day and she did great. She’s now 13 months and goes twice a week and still loves it. I have a friend whose baby started at 8 months old twice a week too. I think it’s dependent on the baby. Mines very social and enjoys interacting with people. Personally I think it’s done great for her development such as eating new things, being exposed to other languages and socialising. But every baby is different xx
