Just realised this is the Manchester group.. when my babe was 3 weeks old he was projectile vomiting. I took him to my GP 3 times and got fobbed off with reflux but I knew something was wrong. I took him to Manchester royal children’s hospital A&E and they took us seriously and admitted us the same day.. a week later he was having surgery for pyloric stenosis! Trust your mama gut and go to A&E to see someone directly xxx
The reception team at the Dr's should be able to provide you a list of private paediatricians. We went down the same route with our eldest. I can fully recommend Dr Dixit at Pall Mall. He listens and takes everything on board. He is the most patient person. He has a private clinic but is also an nhs consultant. Once we'd had the initial consultation we were seen on the nhs. He went over and above, even giving us his mobile number to contact him personally if we were concerned about anything. My youngest had diarreah and dehydration for 2 weeks at a time and we went to a&e multiple times. She was referred by the midwives as she had lost a lot of weight. All they did in a&e was obs and liquid tests to see if symptoms persisted then sent us home. A private appointment will get you allergy tests and bloods done and get to the bottom of it much quicker. I hope you get sorted soon xx
@Emma this is a brilliant idea…yeah my gut is telling me something is off. You’re a genius xx
@Stacey honestly my GP are useless, they wouldn’t even see my newborn at 2 weeks old same day. Thanks for the recommendation, he sounds like a dream
Is your little one formula fed or breastfed? You could go to the A&E of your nearest children’s hospital to see a paediatric doctor xx
