Vaccinations

My baby boy has his first set of jags this morning. I remember taking my daughter and I honestly think I cried more than her. I’m absolutely dreading it this morning. I’m hoping it doesn’t bother him much 🤞

My boy had his yesterday. It’s hard at the time when they cry. We took the paracetamol to the appt and the lovely nurse administered it to him. Which helped him not spit it out everywhere. Then we gave another two doses throughout the day. He was running warm & very sleepy & took less at feeds. Mostly just wanted cuddles bless him. Overall not as bad as I expected. We also did an evening bath and soaked the plasters to be easier to come off as well 🥹🥰 good luck!

My little one has his on Thursday and I feel exactly the same. Plus I have a huge needle phobia. I just keep reminding myself that’s it’s good for them and helping them . It will be over quick snd then he can have lots of snuggles xx

Is there anything we can give them/ do before/ after to help?

@Laura infant paracetamol. We got it from the pharmacy. Just filled out a form. But we are in Scotland. Gave him it just before. Then two further doses later in the day 🥰🥰

So confused or just got a non working baby brain but how are September babies already 2 months ? As in we are still in October?

@Naila my baby was born on the 1st of September so he’s 8 weeks old already xx

Oh I feel for you, I cried with my first and will probably cry again when my second gets his next week. Just have to remember it's over quickly for them and as long as you give them paracetamol they should be fine ( @Laura you can just buy it at the pharmacy or supermarket in England for the 8 week+ vaccinations)

My boy has them next Friday and also dreading it!
