When did you take your baby out to populated places for the first time?

I have a 4 week and I am too scared to take him anywhere other than on walks in unbusy areas and our house. Very scared of germs and waiting for his vaccines. When did everyone else take their LO out and about?

Everyone has different comfort levels. And you should only move as fast as you feel is good for you and baby. Go at your own pace. Why rush if you don’t have to. I had an August baby (he is 11 weeks tomorrow) so the weather was warmer and not nearing flu/cold season. I don’t know if I would be as carefree heading into the winter months with a little little. We took him out and about around 2 weeks PP. just to Costco around 10 days old and a celebration of life (with like 100 people) when he was 11 days old. We go to trivia at a pub every Tuesday starting at two weeks PP. Starting around 7 weeks I started going to a mommies group that meets every Monday and go to movies for mommies every Wednesday and we have free programming at libraries and communities centres and stroller socials downtown. I find being busy better for me. I can’t be at home waiting for him to wake up or feed etc. I need a reason to leave my house everyday. It’s saved me and my PP recovery/journey.

At 2 weeks. I couldn't stay in the house any longer. It was driving me mad 😄

One week! Needed some air and wanted to go for lunch to have some normality!

We took our little girl at 4 days and for the first week or two I was still nervous about germs and crowded places and just kept her in the pram but since then we've been out everywhere together. Just whenever you feels right for you, there's nothing wrong with just going for nice little walks.
