Twice a day but only because she has very severe eczema and the dermatologist said to do this but only about 5-10mins max, otherwise I’d be doing it twice a week.

Everyday! They poop and wee a lot and it’s also part of a relaxing routine where they know the next step is cuddle bottle and bed

Do you think every other day or skipping 2 days occasionally is okay?

Nop! We should shower everyday for obvious hygiene purposes so does them ☺️

We do 3-4 times a week or ad hoc as needed, it’s not necessary unless they get super dirty every day.

I only bath mine every two to three days I give them a wipe down wash every day with hot water

I think 2-3 times a week is fine! Obviously if they've had a bad blowout or are very dirty then clean them more often, but if you're cleaning them well when you change them and are looking after their skin (moisturiser, bum cream if needed etc) then there is no need to bathe every day unless you want to/it is part of baby's routine (even the NHS says this). You're not a bad mum!

Our doc even said 2-3 a week is fine. Everyday is unnecessary when they are so small. They don't sweat quite like adults. Not a bad mom, normal realistic mom doing what works for you and your baby

I bath my daughter every day. It’s part of our evening routine. Just a nice quick relaxing bath to her favourite songs before the evening feed and bedtime.

My son is 5 months and loves baths, but too many will dry out his skin — I bathe him every other day (unless he actively gets dirty!)

2-3 times a week. His skin goes very dry if more frequent. Sometimes hold him over sink and do his bits in between baths when he’s had a dirty nappy though

My baby has eczema so we bathe him every other day as told from our pediatrician

Babies absolutely don’t need to be bathed everyday. Their skin is much thinner and gentler than that of an adult, and still developing its immune system, meaning it needs to be protected from soaps and frequent washing. In turn it has a unique healing process, and protective natural oils which are best not stripped away. That’s on top of the fact that babies simply don’t sweat in the same way adults do and proper daily care is all that’s needed. Bathing too often has also been highly linked to drying out a baby’s skin and leading to disruptions in the skin barrier causing conditions such as eczema. Of course, baths have a lot more benefits than just cleanliness. They can be very soothing and fun for babies. So everyone should do what’s best for them and their little one, but to say that it’s necessary to bathe everyday is super inaccurate. We personally bathe every other day at 3 months but that’s because it helps our LO relax and we find the massaging afterwards beneficial.
