Could be a milk allergy. Also what teat is on the bottle. My little one was fussing at her bottles drinking about an ounce and them refusing turned out the flow was too slow for her x
Hey, my LO has really bad silent reflux! He’s 10 weeks now, and it has started to get better, but he used to be the exact same, to the point I was going to the doctors crying because he was constantly crying, gagging and choking on the reflux, and just would not take a full feed, and I had the same just kept being fobbed off and given gaviscon and then had the problem that it constipated him. I breastfeed and they questioned if he had a milk allergy, so they put him on no cows milk formula, but just made him more unsettled and wouldn’t settle on it. So went back to breast feeding, and I the things that worked for me was laying down and putting him on my chest and he would feed and also sitting him on my knee upright and feeding him on the boob so the milk would go straight down, and then straight after a feed I would keep him upright for 20/30 mins, just slightly bouncing him on my knee, and again that seemed to work. At night just before I settle him to bed I express a little bit of-
My milk and mix with one sachet of Gaviscon and syringe him it, and that seems to work at night so he’s not refluxing as soon as he falls asleep! It’s so hard, and I feel for you 😩 I hope it gets better for you ❤️
I’ve also started introducing abit of reflux formula, as it’s thicker and again he has been so much better, and been given him 2 ounces of cooled boiled water spread throughout the day so he doesn’t become constipated. — but if none of that works for you, ask the doctor to prescribe you no cows milk xxxx
Could it be a milk allergy? Hope you are both ok, I can imagine this is really difficult for you x
