Struggling

My 4 week old doesn’t seem happy. She has cried on and off for two days now. Fusses with her dummy. She wants it but spits it out and then gets upset because she wants it. Constantly in and out. She has reflux and gaviscon hasn’t seemed to work. She wants boob constantly but not always taking a feed. She also fusses at boob too. Nothing we seem to do comforts her. I cry and feel like I can’t do this

have u tried to clear her nose? my daughter was doing this and i got the frieda nose sucker thing and it’s been an absolute life saver

I could have wrote that myself. In fact, i did in an fb group. I think it is the acid in her stomach that hurts her. I am not breastfeeding but exclusively pumping. She grunts so much in her sleep. I researched a lot and some doctors are saying it is just enfant dyschezia, they're just learning how to pass gas and poop. My doctor gave me cereal in her milk to thicken it but i am choosing to Wait untill the new born stage passes. My LO is also 4w. Lets update each other to see how they are doing. Massage seems to help pass gas and she feels better. She also barely burn and that doesn't help.

OVAL helped my daughter with gassiness. you can get it at any pharmacy. babies around that age like the girl that commented are learning their pooping reflexes and struggle sometimes. i went through it with my daughter. it does pass. it is temporary just remember that. she’ll get the hang of it if that is the case. i would recommend doing her nose tho because that’s a reoccurring issue with my daughter and has helped so much

Sounds like silent reflux. Also has she been checked for tongue tie?x

She had her tongue tie released last week. She does have reflux too :( x

My little one had his tongue tie released a few weeks ago. We were told that it can take up to 6 weeks for the tongue to strengthen and until then little one can still have issues with latch and reflux. Were you given any oral exercises to do?

She’s probably just going through a growth spurt . My son was similar at 4 weeks . He also had a tongue tie released. I used chamomile syrup that I got in the chemist to dip his soother in because he a fecker for spitting it out and he tends to suck it properly with that on it especially when he gets in a very fussy state. If it continues try bring her to an osteopath. I brought my son as he definitely had muscle tightness and reflux, and would scream for hours. He had 3 appointments and is like a different baby only cry’s when hungry or tired and it’s not the same scream and he feeds so much better as-well.
