Water broke at 24 weeks 6 days 😭

I’ve been having a “perfect” pregnancy with a great anatomy scan, all blood tests coming back negative, when at 24 weeks 6 days at 5:30 AM, my water broke. Dramatically like in the movies, it was so much liquid. We rushed to the hospital and I’ve been admitted to a high risk hospital that can take premies. Today is day 3, they are monitoring me for signs of labour, given me antibiotics, steroids for the baby, and taken so many tests. Best case scenario, I am here in bed rest for 3 months. If the baby comes early he will be a micro Premie and we are so scared. 😭 Any advice or thoughts on this situation is appreciated. So far the worst part is being away from home and from my husband (he has now gone back to work so can only visit me in the evening for a few hours).

I was born at 21 weeks , I’m now 22 , yes it was a tough road and I was in nicu for a bit but try not to stress ( I know easier said ) Take each day as it comes lovely , and if baby does come soon know that they will be in great hands xx you got this

My waters went at 17 weeks, I gave birth at 39 weeks. He’s now 15 months old and is a healthy happy bubba!! Don’t get me wrong, it’s the most stressful time Xxxx

@Kelly oh my gosh!! Were you in the hospital the whole time? They are saying I won’t be released back home until baby comes essentially 😭 so bracing myself for a 3 month hospital stay

My waters just broke on Friday night at 30 weeks with twins. It sent me into an early labour which ended up in a cesarean. My 2 little girls were born weighing only 2lb 11. They are now in NICU and doing very well each day. Don't be scared. The care is amazing! They have alot of babies here which have been born from 24 weeks. Stay strong. You may be able to carry on your pregnancy. If anything happens sooner, then you and your baby will be in the best care ❤️ My partner also has to carry on working. So I am in the hospital alone aswell. Only with family visiting and my partner at night. You are in the best place xx
