Escaping car seat

So it appears we have a mini housing on our hands who can get their arms out of their car seat straps no matter how much we tighten them! Anyone have any advice / solutions? Can’t do the straps any tighter otherwise they would be cutting into the thighs

Might be a silly question but have you tried making sure your wee one only has something thin on, like a t-shirt or long sleeved top on rather than something thicker,?

Omg we are having this issue! No matter how tight we do the stapes he wriggles out of them 🥺 we don’t put jackets or anything on him like that in the car and it’s honestly so tight to the point I struggle to even fasten it and he’s still managing to get out! We are looking to get another car seat I think, which is annoying because this one is less than a year old but he’s doesn’t do it in my mums car or my he childminders so I think it’s our seat 🥺 x

Often it’s to do with a fit issue! Are you comfortable posting a pic on here? You can always pop an emoji over little ones face! If the fit is okay and it’s still happening then the next option is the BeSafe belt collector. There are lots of brands that make these but the BeSafe one is the only one that’s crash tested/recommended!

Unfortunately she does it even just in a tshirt! I’m pretty confident it’s not a fit issue, I have a feeling she is hypermobile (like me) as she can really flex her shoulders to get out 🫠 will look into the besafe! Thank you x
