Bath advicešŸ˜‚

Weā€™ve just had our bathroom re done after only having a shower for a year we now have a bath!! Iā€™ve got it at a Luke warm temp so it doesnā€™t feel like itā€™s raising my body temp, are regular baths like this ok?!

Regular baths are fine. As long as you don't have a hot bath for a long time you can have a normal temp bath I think. Double check with your midwife next time you see them I think there's different advice out there tbh

Yes thatā€™s fine! You can probably have it a bit hotter by the sounds of things. 38 degrees is fine and they do drop pretty quick while in it. We got a thermometer for testing babies bath when I had my girl so you might find it handy to get one now and use for you. Baths are safe and relaxing, just not too hot like 40+ where your body temp will most likely rise. Itā€™s very different to a sauna/spa. Keep a water bottle with you too (not necessary) but staying hydrated is good. And just stay in as long as you feel comfortable.

Thanks guys!!

Yeh! I had a bath for the first time in pregnancy last week and I was worried because I always used to love really hot baths... But I had it at a nice temperature and it felt fine. My bump was sticking out of the water anyway so wasn't getting hot šŸ˜‚
