Bottles

For those that have formula fed babies, do you still give milk in a bottle? I just read another post from another group who said the HV said milk should be drank from a cup at 10m 😳

I am and I have friends who gave bottles of milk to their kids at well beyond 18/24 months (only at certain times like bedtime not all the time).

I plan on changing to a sippy cup when I change to cows milk at a year old

Yes, the NHS says to switch when you move to cows milk which they recommend from 12 months. In actual real life though instead of ideal world, I find most people I know still keep a bedtime bottle at least until more like 13-14 months in reality as its the hardest one to lose

Bottle for formula, sippy cup for water. From what I understand it’s easier to wean off bottles if it’s kept separate.

Same as maria i plan to try and switch from a bottle when we move to cows milk in Jan! Tho my LB isnt all that caring on his bottles anymore so i think it will work fine for him but can see where it would be harder for kids who use their bottles for sleep/naps/as a comfort xx
