How much to give in bottle for BF baby?

How many weeks is your baby? I offer my LO 4 oz and she’s 10 weeks. She doesn’t always take it all. Think it really depends on the baby and there age x

My little one is 12 weeks and I give him 1 bottle of expressed milk every evening. He usually takes 3-4oz which always confuses as me as I pump 5-6oz off one boob in 10 minutes for his bottle 😂

@Emily your boob is going to give you more than what your baby will drink because it has to make sure it has enough for your baby.

I do exactly that with my boy who is BF. He’s 11 weeks old and we give him an expressed bottle of breastmilk at night before he goes to bed. He usually has about 140ml/5oz which lasts him till around 4am and then he wakes for a feed which is breastfed. I express in the night when he wakes x

My little ones 11 weeks and she has around a 4oz bottle before bed, she’s had 5oz aswell but tends to sick it up if she has more than 4oz xx

@Naomi Do you just pump after you feed him around 4am? Or are you able to get some from the other boob while you’re feeding

Yes usually, my boobs wake me up at around 3:30 to pump 😂 I express for 5 minutes on the one side to relieve the engorgement (otherwise he’ll cough and spit up a lot!) and then fully express the other breast. He usually wakes up at the same time or a little later. X

My LO is 13 weeks and has 150ml expressed in a bottle before bed and then a drink from each boob (he's super hungry before bed) when we started with the bottle I offered 90ml (4 weeks) and then upped this amount when he was drinking it all. 150ml is the max for the bottles I have
