Glucose tolerance test

Hello, mommy friends. Who's taken their glucose tolerance test? I'm here for the 3 hour test now. 🙄 I was hoping to pass the one hour test. Unfortunately, I did not. This is my 4th pregnancy, and each time, I always fail the one hour test.

I just took my second 3 hour test this week and I only failed for one of the hours which is technically a pass, but they told me to still watch my diet. I had GD with my son and it was kind of a blessing in disguise because it was a great way for me to watch what I was eating and I felt really good about myself and my weight, and was diet controlled. This pregnancy I did my 1 hour early, barely failed that, then took the 3 hour and passed. Just did it again this week because later in pregnancy is when usually GD starts and so I’m just going to try to diet similarly to my first pregnancy because I failed one of the hours. Placentas are weird! Hopefully you pass your 3 hour!

I'm probably going to take it next week. I barely failed the 1 hr last pregnancy so I had to do the 3hr. This time I told my OB to just order the 3 hour because I didn't want to do it twice. 🥴 I'm wishing you luck!

@Kyla thank you! My last pregnancy, my doctor told me that if pregnancy happened again, I could recommend doing the 3 hour test only. Here I am. I was hoping to do the 1 hour only and pass. Lol

@Kelsey, that's great, Kelsey!

I have the 1 hour one text week on the 4th and im so nervous mainly about drinking it I just don’t wanna throw up the drink

@aniya, you got it! Are they requiring you to fast? I didn't have to fast for the 1 hour test. For the 3 hour test I did.

Now Ik I don’t feel confident my test is comming up next week

I just started monitoring my food intake and blood sugar yesterday. 😫

I passed the 3-hour glucose test. But I plan to monitor what I eat and drink so I won't have problems in the future.

I failed the 1 hour with a 150 and just threw in the towel and said for them to just say I have GD. I had it with my first. It’s not bad, I just have to watch what I eat. I absolutely felt terrified when I took the 3 hour test with my first pregnancy because my blood sugar plummeted to less than 60, I was shaking, tired, and nausea and didn’t want to go through that again.
