Do you ever get an "inpending doom" type feeling and wonder when the world is going to crash and be an apocalypse type situation?

Hubby and I have started trying to homestead, growing our own food, soon to have our own chickens and cows. Both kids are down for naps, so I was trying to take a relaxing shower. Suddenly I'm overcome with anxiety wondering if I'll have the knowledge and skills to feed and care for my family, and how we will survive when that happens. Does anyone else get that way?

If anyone’s gonna survive it, it’s yall. The doom is there, but aside from homesteading, what can you do? You just live your life. (And vote ; )

If a true apocalypse came about, very few would survive. Even those who homestead. You should do those things because you enjoy them, not because of some impending doom they may never happen. No offense, but it seems as though doomsday preppers are doing it because of this self created drama narrative that they enjoy living in. It’s the same reason some enjoy horror movies.

I feel like you are really misunderstood rn after reading these comments. I wouldn't call it a panic attack, just a moment of realization, I wouldn't say that your doing the homestead thing because of being a doomsday prepper, just sounds like you guys decided to go the cost efficient route and that if the world does go to h3ll in a hand basket then at least you guys will have what you need to survive as long as you can. Truthfully these days are scary! So many recalls on food because of e. coli and fake food is coming out more often, (as if the pandemic wasn't bad enough when it happened) the virus and many more are a thing and they are almost all MAN MADE.. I do believe though that if you are doing what you love and enjoy and you're happy and healthy and so is your family then you're doing what you need to do. I would also say though that if you do feel like this often that you should talk to someone because that is where it's impeding on your health and wellbeing.
