Finger food

What do you give your baby as finger food? I keep seeing all these recipe ideas on Instagram of finger food but I've literally just been giving bits of veg or fruit. Are people making little omelettes and things at this stage?

Ive so far given my daughter omelette, pancakes, veg tots there’s lots of ideas on tick-tock

I have given mine chicken, boiled egg, avocado, broccoli, carrots (cooked ) it’s just to experiment and get used to texture /tastes.

Chicken, pork chop, omelette, boiled egg, cucumber, lamb chop, carrot, homemade baby pancakes, broccoli and cauliflower x

Boiled egg, avocado, banana, cucumber, broccoli cauliflower, carrots, chicken just to name a few.

I follow yummy little belly on Instagram and have made some veggie tots, tried pancakes but my little girl doesn’t have any teeth so they couldn’t really do that, and mashed up egg or veg.

Whatever homemade dish I give him ends up mushed up and thrown on the floor so I’ve stopped stressing about making things now 😂 broccoli, watermelon fingers and roast chicken strips have been a winner

Only toast and broccoli so far

I’ve given as finger food > Toast Pita & humus French stick Brocolli Avo Boiled egg Pear Watermelon Apple Banana Pumpkin Boiled potato Rest I’ve pureed.

I started out with single ingredients like steamed broccoli, egg and fruit. I’m now starting to find the confidence to modify family meals to make them suitable for baby like setting aside a portion for baby before adding salt, making sure the pieces of meat and veg are soft, and big enough to hold. I’m documenting my baby led weaning meals and sharing recipes here if that’s helpful - https://www.instagram.com/wholehappykideats/profilecard/?igsh=MTIwZjlvd24xeWp5eA==
