Kendamil

Hey! Our 5 week old is on a combination of breast and kendamil(mainly kendamil) however he is constantly grunting and squirming trying to pass wind. When we burp him he also screams now and again like he’s uncomfortable. Is it worth me trying another formula? We’ve tried infacol but made things worse for him.

We had something simular with our little girl and was told it was silent reflux by the doctor. Since we're mostly breastmilk with formula as a top up (cow and gate), he prescribed gaviscon but said if its just formula to change to the thicker formula - for cow and gate it's called reflux formula but he said every brand has their own version.

We’re on kendamil first with our little girl and when she’s like this we do a day of kendamil comfort and that helps get rid of the wind etc. ☺️. Hope that helps. X

Their digestive system at this point are still very immature and not that great, I would stick with Kendamil for now. Compared to a lot of formulas on the market, Kendamil is fabulous in terms of ingredients! Formula is a lot heavier on a baby’s belly as opposed to breast milk, so getting used to it may take longer but should get there soon!

We are on Kendamil comfort for the same reasons. I BF and then he has one bottle girl by Dad at night. Been doing that for 2 weeks, and seems to have eased his tummy issues and reflux even though he was exclusively BF before. Maybe it’s a coincidence but it’s working.
