Baby pooing

My almost 6 week old baby hasn’t pooed since Wednesday lunch time. She usually poos at least once everyday but usually 2/3/4 times a day so this is pretty unusual. Has anyone else’s baby not pooed for 2 or 3 days and should I be worried? Not sure what I can do to help her I’ve tried all different positions, bicycle legs, tummy massage etc. But not sure when to be worried or what to do about it? Tia! X

is she breastfed? if so it's very normal, both my daughters have been like this xx

No formula.. forgot to put that in the post oops!🙈

They can go 6 days a week without going no concern I been told

@Kayleigh really!! Wow that’s a long time!!!!

My baby went 6 days without going , doctors wasn’t concerned unless it went 7-10 days , when she did go it was an explosion x

My baby hadn’t gone since Monday. I massaged her tail bone for about 10 mins and she had a poo about 30 minutes later!

It’s quite normal for them to not poo for up to about a week sometimes. My boy goes once every 3-4days (formula fed) I find that if he starts getting uncomfortable ready made formula cartons help him poo x

The GPs will tell you that they need to go a significant period of time (4 days i think it is) without pooing to be classed as constipated...I've found with both my LO's tho if they hadn't gone for 24 hours I could tell they were uncomfortable. Can't remember the exact measurements but a bit of brown sugar dissolved in cooled boiled water does the trick

Mine went 4 days once. It was a very very big poo when it came. Go to the doctor if nothing by the weekend

Thanks everybody! Xx

7 days is the cut off for concern. My 8 week old (exclusively breast fed) went 4-5 days without a bowel movement, then 6.. and has just gone 7 days. GP 6-8 week check that day said if no movement within 24 hours I’d need to go to a&e and was prescribed laxative. Warm bath and tummy massage with his knees slightly higher than hips did the trick that night with no medication needed thankfully I was also told by HV to up my fluids and calorie intake with foods like fruit and veg etc to help him go on the times before
