Health visitor

I have my 2 year health visitor check up this week. What should I be expecting her to look for? And what questions should I be asking? It feels so rare to see them because of how busy they are that I don’t want to miss an opportunity to ask as my questions as possible.

How did you book this?? I haven't heard anything for my sons and he was 2 on the 5th Oct x

My health visitor just contacted me a week before my little boys birthday

Same I've not heard anything on this yet. Wondering if we'll get one x

I had a letter two weeks after my boys 2nd birthday. They will send u a questionnaire which shows the child's milestones. Also ur childcare will give u something to show the HV, if u tell them about the visit. My boy had such a big tantrum in the visit, and she said it's completely normal, that was one of my concerns. Start making notes of anything u want to ask them, she also gave me a link (somewhere) about potty training. Xxx

Mine called me after her 2nd birthday. I hadn’t received the questionnaire in the post so downloaded one in preparation. She actually brought one with her on the visit. We got asked about diet, sleeping, potty training, if she’d been to A&E, nursery. I asked about tantrums. Then today I got a letter from the NHS saying to contact my HV for a review with 2 questionnaires enclosed 🤷🏼‍♀️

I haven’t had anything? Do you book this or do they contact you x

I got a letter through the post but our appointment isn’t until 23 December

My council has on their website that it's 24-27 months. I've not heard anything and my little girl was 2 on 29th Sep.

@Jess I'm the same Jess, my little girl just turned 2 in October and haven't had a call or letter
