I wouldn’t worry too much about her not drinking milk if she’s getting calcium etc within her food. I would however try and up the amount she’s drinking. Will she drink water? If not, juice? Just a tiny amount in her water? I know people advise against juices but I would rather my little one drink juice rather than not drink at all. I would be worried about the dry nappies too. Xxx
@Holly yeah she’s not been the best eater with her being abit ill this week but she’s eating. She has a sippy cup which we use for juice it’s water and a very small amount of juice but maybe she’s going off the flavour and that’s a good idea with the fruit and milk thankyou deffo going to try xx
@Hannah thanks hunny yes she has a sippy cup we use for juice which is water and tiny small amount of juice she didn’t really like water on its own since weaning.. I’m not sure if she’s going off it or something but I just feel she isn’t drinking enough of this since refusing the milk her nappies still seem not wet enough it’s like dark yellow too I might call the health visitor on Monday and see what they advise or maybe the doctor if it’s still bad, thanks xx
Is she still eating normally? I would try if not already adding milk to her meals where possible (sauces, mash, etc) so she’s still getting the calcium and milk intake from meals. My daughter hates water and has always refused to drink water, but what helped us was cutting up some fruit (strawberry’s or raspberries whatever she liked the most at that moment) and added them to her water bottles and giving it a good shake to give her water a little bit of flavour, maybe something like that is worth a try if she’s off her water as well?
