I'm so nervous giving my baby a bath

I've been wiping baby down with wipes and water, but not actually giving her a bath in her little bathtub. She's going to be three months in 9 days. How do I get over this fear?

We use a baby bath tub with an incline. You can also go in the bath with baby and lay them on your legs! That might help the fear because you're in it with them

If you have a shower with a removable showerhead, you can also put a shower chair in there and sit on it with them on your legs and use the showerhead

I love the sink flower it gives me the comfort of her being closer up to me and not a large chance of her slipping and sliding due to the tight fit

I held my baby a few times like got in and they loved it lol had them on my lap back against my legs no fear she’d slip

I have one of those baths that grows with the baby. I started off with little warm water but I made sure to steam up the bathroom so it didn’t feel cold if my baby was exposed to air. Over time as I got used to handling him in the tub I added more water so that his body was more submerged. The first few times he hated it but now he enjoys being in the water. Sometimes I just rub his butt under warm water in the sink if I just want to clean his butt. Just be patient and keep trying. It gets easier. 🫂 I bathe my baby every other day or so, depending if we went outside or if he smells like food. But his butt gets washed everyday.

I just want you to know you’re not alone!! I’ve been terrified to bathe both of my kids as babies. Even now my son is 6 and I still get nervous when he’s in the bath

What is it you’re afraid of? Perhaps address the root fear? Or have someone be there with you to help out and calm you down.
