The childcare doesn’t terminate my child by enrolment rules

Hi mummies, I want to terminate my child with childcare centre based on enrolment email that indicates 4 weeks notice given. However, while I gave them notice, they told me they don’t terminate child in Nov and Dec which didn’t informed me while I enrolled my child and conflicted with what they said in the enrolment email for 4 weeks’ notice. Is there any place that protect our rights? We have some disputes with childcare and I’m not sure if they will take care of my child well and I want to finish with them earliest.

There should be a policy on this I would ask to see it. I know you have to give so many weeks but it shouldn’t matter what month it is to pull them out. As long as you’ve given the right amount of notice they can’t stop you.

Did you also ask them why November and December? I would question them.

@Ebony thanks Ebony for reply. Parents told me the last day is important as the child needs to be there to have CC subsidy. I’m not sure how termination works with Centrelink. My CC subsidy was granted late. So far the childcare charged me in full for three weeks payment that can cover till next Jan if they claimed subsidy backdated to the start date.

@Ebony because less enrolments during that period.
