Walk in centre question: do you get given a time to come back if very busy?

My 3 year old has tonsillitis and I'm 99% sure I have it too, I feel horrendous and it's proving very difficult to care for 2 children (both my girls are on antibiotics 😭). I now looked and it says the average wait time right now is 3 hours 😱 Do you get given a time to return when it's this busy or do you HAVE to sit and wait? Thank you x

Usually have to sit and wait, when I’ve had to go in with my daughter they usually tell us to just sit and wait and we’ll be seen shortly xx

I’ve attended at different times in the past including a Friday evening before closing and never had to wait 3 hours! I’d just go and they should give you an idea of wait time at the door x

I took my toddler with a fever on a sat eve and they said the wait time was 2 hours and it was pretty much that . I got the impression you should sit and wait but you could always check when you get there and ask . I would suggest not delaying if you want to go as on the Sat tea time we went it went into being over capacity ( can’t rem what the proper term was ) but they were turning people away and I believe they only agreed to see us due to my daughter being so young and with such a high fever after they consulted about it .

Sit and wait. Last time I went it was a 6 hour wait, I was 38 weeks pregnant with a toddler in abdominal pain. It was absolutely rammed, I had no where to sit and no one would give me a chair. My toddler was screaming. After 3 hours I just broke down into tears and I miraculously got seen straight away 😂
