You can still use tax free account as well to pay for school things
I’m a childminder and we all charge differently by location but I’m £7 an hour so most of my wrap around child do about 3 hours (1.5 before and 1.5hours after school) so I’d be £21 a day but everything is included for that fee, all mine use tax free childcare to pay! The before/after school care is the same price but children have to take their own afterschool snack but breakfast is included! School dinners are include at this age and all the ways up until yr3 when you can either pay for them (if your school offer it) or send packed lunch! It will differ a lot by area it’s worth looking into now xx
My son is currently in a school nursery. They charge 2.50 for breakfast club, 6 for after school club and 2.50 for dinners. we will no longer pay for dinners when he enters reception as the government offer free universal school meals for all children in reception until the end of year 2.
£3.50 breakfast club £4.50 per hour after school clubs Lunch free until they enter juniors In preschool and reception we paid £30 a year for snacks :) after that in ks1 it was free fruit provided x
My daughter school do breakfast club at £5 per day, I think the government are looking to offer it for free from April 2025 and then after school club for £5, however I've got a friend with a child at a neighbouring school and their after school club is £15 per day but that includes a cold snack whereas we don't get any food but I send a specific snack in for my daughter to eat. School lunches are free as they're classified as universal free school meals or alternatively you can send in a packed lunch from home
