@Stephanie thank you🙏 he always says my baby doesn’t want to eat my food bcse is too bland..the other day i made some chicken meatballs with onions carrots apples pears..to get more nutrients and he says what is that ? and he is laughing..😅🫣🙄i usually don’t cook so i have 2 books i get the recipes and lots of google ..but he thinks we can give what we have..which i know we can’t yet..
From what I read it’s not that deep and unlikely to harm the baby: https://parentdata.org/can-babies-have-salt/
@Marioana Thank you 🙏this makes me feel so much better..i also had a look on Solid Start app about salt and it’s saying isn’t that bad and it’s more about if you do child abuse regarding salt then it’s a problem..but everyone is so strict about salt so i panicked..
Nothing will happen from a once off incident. You told your partner off - he is now aware you do not find this acceptable. There is nothing you can do now except move on.
If your partners worried about food being too bland you can always add some seasoning to their food. Look it up on google but it’s just mainly salt they can’t have
We obviously avoid salt as much as possible but when we are out and about eating we try not to over stress because it can be impossible when your not at home and we let our little boy join in meals with us when we go out. (He still eats his bland food at home lol). He will literally eat anything we offer him especially if he knows it’s off our plate! I feel putting too much stress and anxiety around his food can cause more harm than good. Little treat won’t hurt - I always say to him some food is good for your body some food is good for your soul (like the yummy roasted pork haha)
He’ll be okay, just make extra sure he doesn’t have anything salted for the next few days More importantly though, try get your partner to read up on this so he understands the reasons why you’re strict about salt, and that it’s about keeping little one safe! Xx
