Clear blue test

I took a clear blue digital test at CD 23, which is 3 weeks and 2 days, and it shows pregnant 2-3 weeks, which would mean I am 4-5 weeks pregnant. But I am sure I am 3 weeks and 2 days. Is this normal?

You start counting your weeks from the first day of your cycle (so just after finishing menstruating). You’re ovulating around day 14 so in week 2. Usually the hormones don’t rise enough until a couple of weeks after the conception, so I think it’s quite impossible for you to be 3+2, as it would mean the ovulation happened a week ago and it wouldn’t be possible to show already on a test.

My first date of last period was on the 11/10, which means I am 3 weeks 5 days today. I took another test that showed the same results.

Is your period irregular? Are you sure it was a proper period and not implantation bleeding? If your had your period on the 11/10, it’d be due sometime next week (if you’re regular), so this is so odd! Unless you’ve ovulated during your period (which is possible)… you could ask your gp to be tested for hcg level to have a look at that, or go to an early scan (if you can) so they can see the embryo and tell you exactly how it measures to give you a more accurate timing (my periods were irregular so my dates where wrong compared to embryo measurements).

My periods are very regular, every 27 days! I have very heavy periods for 7 days, the period on the 11th was the same! I am so confused !!!

The test seems pretty accurate…if you’re cycle day 23 then that means 3week +2days which is about right? Remember these tests will have a hcg measurement guide per week so your urine will need to contain x amount of hcg to be within that week range.

@Simona this is actually incorrect. Your cycle starts on the FIRST day of your period, not after your period finishes.
