What are your babes eating?

My little girl just turned one recently and we’ve been having a hard time getting her to eat solids regularly. She will snack/graze, but rarely eat enough to keep her full. She’s still on formula with it being the majority of her “food intake” because of this. Is anyone else in a similar boat, and if so what are y’all doing? I’d be happy to hear what your littles are enjoying to eat as well because I’m at a loss

Similar boat though mine’s just approaching 11m she’s not interested in purées anymore and never really was she doesn’t particularly like anything too smooth or warm. Still trying to find something she likes aside from baby snacks which she loves she does like bread but other than French toast I’m not sure what to do with it when they’re still so young.

My kiddo just hit 11 months and he's mostly eating what we eat. Meals where food is too salty or not baby safe (has honey etc) I'll make him either a plate of leftovers that are baby safe or if he's already had at least one serving each of carb, fruit, veggie, and protein for the day I'll just feed him a selection of the above, but if he's missing any of them I'll focus on that. So for example at lunch we both had ham and cheese sandwhiches with some carrot sticks. For his snack he had a bit of left over rotisserie chicken and naan from the previous day since he had loved that. For dinner I made a baked nacho platter that was too salty and spicy for him, so he had some strawberries and blueberries, a small slice of sourdough bread, and some yogurt, along with a bit of diluted pineapple juice and some cows milk.

My 12mo eats mainly what we eat adapted for little fingers (he doesn’t do spoons very well)! A few staples (most contain allergens) are waffles (I mix in yogurt for more protein and fruits/veggies too), egg muffins with cheese and veggies, peanut butter and oat balls, fruit or veggie muffins, quinoa patties, pasta, cucumbers and hummus, etc. Lmk if you want any recipes.

Mine is 10mo and she had quinoa, avocado and cream cheese, peeled and boiled potatoes, zucchini, carrot and broccoli She doesn’t eat much, but she did enjoy it! I also add spices to the food like garlic, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, chili powder and tumeric :)

My doctor told me to cut out the formula and she will eat it. It's because she's getting full on the formula. In my case, he was right

Hi Marissa, My LO turned 11months today & he hardly eats anything. He started liking pasta few weeks ago and now he wont even touch it. So can totally understand your stress as we both are in the similar boat. He doesn't like been spoon-fed and its totally impossible to get anything in his tummy this way. We tried BLW but that doesn't work either. Am seeing pediatricians on this Thursday as he is off his percentile, not sure how they are going to help me in this but I am not losing hopes. 🌻

@Kassia Hi Kassia, did you spoon feed the quinoa?

@Shweta yes, I spoon feed the quinoa with the cream cheese! You can also mix it with the cream cheese if you want baby to be able to grab it or put it on top of the avocado after mixing
