It’s because we feel so helpless when they cry
Because you don’t want to see your baby in pain! I cried when we did my daughters 😂 I wasn’t expecting to, I just heard her cry a cry I had never heard before and it was like the tears came up from the depths of my soul. My husband got teary eyed too! As soon as they finished we just picked her up and loved on her and told her she was so brave and she calmed down pretty quickly. The drive home was pretty silent 😅 the second round was easier
My LG has her BCG tomorrow morning (she's in the at risk category) and I know I'm going to cry more than she is. I know it's protecting her but I still feel bad. I'm making sure I take her dummy and will give her lots of cuddles after x
It's really not as bad as you think it's going to be. My boy cried for about a minute, I popped him on the boob and he settled straight away. It's not nice to see him cry but he's so well protected now, definitely worth it
Make sure to take a pacifier and have it ready when they do the shot, it helps a lot
Thanks everyone. I have my mum coming with me for support 😅 you Would think I’m the one having to get the shots 😂.. can’t wait for it to all be over until the next round! I will also take a dummy with me ☺️ so glad the appointment is first thing rather than waiting all day!
And give Panadol 30 minutes before! @Tessa
Just think you’re protecting him for life! He’ll be thankful and he’ll forget the pain as soon as they’re done!
