Confused
So I just had a baby almost 6 months ago and haven't had a period yet. I take pregnancy tests on a regular basis. They come back negative. How long did it take you guys?

That’s normal, it can take up to 2 years for your period to be regular again, which is why the advice is to wait at least 2 years before trying again. It’s a sign that your body is still not quite back to how it needs to be. The first time round mine came back after about 6-8 weeks, and was regular and normal. But for my second, my period didn’t start until about 7-8 months later, and it was irregular as in it didn’t come monthly. It was normal and to expected as I was breastfeeding and taking care of two babies has left me greatly deprived of sleep. So that would affect your cycles as well.

It can vary so much, especially if you're breastfeeding. Mine came back at 4 months pp with both my kids, but my sister told me it took her 18 months for hers to return.
