First cycle

Hi I did menopur and fyremadel. My sides effects were: Bloating (so much bloating) Irritability Bruising at the injection sites (make sure you swap which side each day) Tiredness

I did menopur and fyremadel. Had some bruises, but they didn’t hurt. And I felt pretty normal to be honest. Everyone may react differently though. If you have loads of follicles that grow you might feel bloated and uncomfortable. I only had 8/9 follicles that grew.

You will be prescribed either or Menopur/ meriofert, and Cetrorelix/fyremadel - not both. I have taken Menopur, Meriofert and Fyremadel. Side effects were mainly tiredness (so tired!!) and bloating. Now and again some bruising on the injection site.

Thank you for your replies girls 🥰 did you have any weight gain as well? I worry as I had to lose weight for IVF. I have an under active thyroid and find it difficult to lose weight as it is! How do they decide which ones you will take ?

Also where did you have to inject and how often?

Both injections are injected into your lower belly (below belly button) The weight gain comes with bloating but it’s only temporary. If you imagine the bloating you get before your period and that’s for one dominant follicle, you will be growing several through stims so you’ll naturally get more bloating. Drink plenty of water as that can also help with any constipation. Not sure how they decide which one, last round I had Menopur this round I’ve got meriofert. They’re essentially the same hormone so I don’t think it makes a huge difference
