Do you really sterilize bottles and dummies after EVERY use?

I wash everything after every use, but I usually sanitize in bulk at the end of the day and sometimes reuse bottles without sanitizing afterwards. Anyone else?

I never sanitized. I think washing is enough unless your kid is immune compromised or has other health concerns

Advice varies from country to country and differs between formula/breastmilk. But for me in the UK, with formula, you should sterilise every bottle every time, and I did. Didn’t use dummies.

We sterilised bottles after every use, dummies at the end of the day. We stopped sterilising at 12months, I think advice was we could stop at 6months but it was actually hard to kick the habit.

I sterilized bottles after each use and pump parts at the end of every day. I sterilized pacifiers about once a month, washing every couple days.

how do you usually sterilize?

I had an Avent sterilizer. I usually threw the pacifiers in there. Once a month I would boil them.

I stopped sterilizing at 4 months but I still breastfeed which made me feel better about any sickness they may get from maybe anything? That might not be a rational thought but it worked for me and my twins 🤣

I didn’t sanitise the bottles once and my baby fell ill so from then on I’ve just done it all the time 🙂

I always sterilize my bottles but I have a baby breeza sterilizer machine thing which makes it super easy to do.

@Chantel Louise how did you know it was from that??
