@Annabel this is exactly what I’ve done too. Still a fussy baby but not constant 🙌🏼
We also changed to a lacto free formula and added in some optibac drops and our little one is so much happier. Like Sarah said above still fussy as just at that 6-8 week mark but nowhere near as bad.
If you're breastfeeding, I agree with the above, cut lactose and modify your diet to avoid all potential aggregating foods If you're bottle feeding, paced feeding worked for us!! Highly recommend!! https://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/resources/paced-bottle-feeding - check for a tongue tie!!! - see an Osteopath - paced feeds (see link) - gripe water/Infacol Making sure you burp baby well, not over feeding, keeping them upright after a feed, tummy massage, bicycle legs, warm baths, monitoring for constipation, not letting bub get too hot (this increases agitation) It's so hard!! Also do some research on an immature nervous system and what you can do to help, it usually starts to mature at 3 months which is coincidentally when colic starts to improve!!
I’ve cut out dairy and soy from my diet and moved to a dairy free formula (combo fed) and she’s a different baby! So many more content moments and not constantly fussing/crying. She still doesn’t like to be put down and I have to keep her moving, but she isn’t just screaming at me 24/7
