What age are they? Do they have a go to food? Mine is the same but I noticed she likes yoghurt so sometimes I mix heavy stuff for cals like peanut butter or oil and porridge into her yoghurt I give her the first bite of yogurt then quickly give her the mixed in versions and have distractions set out her while she eats as she doenst like to eat when bored and usually doenst have breakfast

Do you let them play with food? I know this is a good option. I was told that their taste buds change were 48h at this age. Thus, they can get very temperamental with food. They tend to stick to "safe" foods. Good example is snacks they are always the same taste.

We go through the same thing with my 1 and 3yo. One thing I have learnt it that the more frustrated you get with them, the more they push away. With my boys I just go back to basics. Offer little and often rather than 3 big meals and try to make things that can be saved in the fridge for later in the day or even the next day. When my eldest gets like this, his go to is a basic chocolate sandwich. Depending on age, you can also try to get them involved in deciding what they want to eat today by giving them an option or even letting them help prepare it can be encouraging them to eat it. Sometimes my boys will go 2-3 days and I think their hardly eating anything.. then the next week they’ll be eating for 3 😅 xx

No resolution.coz mine daughter extremely picky and keeps changing what she wants and am.at loss too

Don’t give snacks. I am a huge snacker and I have so substantially cut back on the amount of snacks I had in my house when I had kids. If it’s not there they can’t eat it and will eat real food!

Same. I just make sure he eats as much of what he wants to eat. I also sneak some pediasure grow and gain into his regular milk to help.
