One tbsp, once a day. If they want more, you can feed them more. Start introducing water as well as 4 ounces per day. Don't feel pressured to BLW. You can do a combo of both. Maybe be scary, but learn the differences between gagging and choking. Also, keep prune, apple juice handy in cause of constipation and give 1 ounce of that if they haven't poop in a while or are crying to poop.

@Mutago 🤭 I mean milk how many ounces of milk daily x

Lol, sorry. 4-6 times a day Not more than 5 ounces for breastmilk. Not more than 8 ounces for formula. Always before solids

I mean my baby drinks 9oz 4 times a day since she was like 4 month old. The nhs lines are a guide. If they want more give them more x

Definitely consult your doctor if you’re concerned about food intake. Mine said no water until 1 year except a small cup (an oz or so) just to play around with We do 4 bottles a day, 8 oz each time. But every child is different and won’t need the same amount.

I don’t know if I’m being slow, but if you are referring to actual cow milk, I am pretty sure that is one of the items they aren’t suppose to consume at all until they are 1. You can give them small amounts of water and prune juice when the foods get less mushy to help them wash the food down and keep away constipation.

@Alex I wasn’t referring to cows milk. I specifically asked my pediatrician about water and she didn’t recommend it until one. But I know every doctor/family has their own opinion on that which is why I suggested she consult her doctor

@Samantha I swear I’m not trying to come off any way. But I was asking the original person exactly what milk she was referring to because I’ve never heard anyone call breast milk or formula just milk. I got a tad bit worried. So, sorry if I @ you by accident for you to think I was speaking or asking about your comment. As for the water thing, yes everyone is different, because I was told with all 3 of mine that they are suppose to start drinking small amounts of water by 6 months when they are starting to transition foods. I also live in the hottest part of Texas so that might also be why they recommended it to us. Regardless, I was just hoping she wasn’t giving the baby cow milk.

@Alex oh no worries! I didn’t take it personally. I wasn’t sure either since your comment was after mine. Sorry if I came off a way! It’s so easy to read to much or too little in text 😵‍💫

@Samantha Okay good, lol! I’m not here to clock anyone on what they were told by a professional, so no! 😂
