I read somewhere that if your baby falls from a height greater than themself, they should be checked over by a doctor or hospital. I would call your hospital and see what they say ☺️
My boy ends up with bruises on his head all the time because he falls into his cot rails & I’ve not once been questioned by a nurse at our appointments. You aren’t a bad mum at all, these things happen in a split second
My girl fell off our bed onto tiles when she was 8 months, I wasn’t in the room at the time so not sure if she had hit her head but nothing showed up. I called up 13health and they just told me things to look out for as she was still usual self. Another time she pulled a chair down and it hit her head and left a massive blue egg on her forehead. Quickly called 000 and they had just organised a virtual ED call and again she was still fine. They will not take your baby, these things happen and we sometimes we can’t help it please don’t stress. You could always give 13health a call and they’ll tell you whether or not she would need to see someone in person.
@Kayla is 13health a NSW thing I looked it up and it says it’s a QLD hotline
@Caitlyn this poor kid, she fells off the couch last week and got a little bloody nose while someone else was looking after her while I was at work😭 and got pecked by our chickens yesterday😢she’s accident prone already she’s not even 1
Sorry didn’t realise they were different, looks like it’s called healthdirect in NSW
@Kayla yes that’s the one I called them, update with everything. Went to hospital to be safe and she’s okay just have to monitor her at home for the next 24 hours
My baby fell of our ottoman a couple of weeks ago and every mum I have spoken and my nurse friend has said it happens to everyone, you are not a bad mum and if you want to take her to get checked no one will judge you there! They get mums all the time!!
