I would say it's better for them to come now (unless they are the kind to disrespect no kissing and washing hands rules) because in 2 and 3 months it'll be the middle of winter and 6 just seems too far
I had visitors at 2months old. Everyone took a covid test, wore a mask, and washed hands without me even having to ask. I highly recommend requiring masks at least (hand washing ofc). My son and I didn’t get sick until he was 8m old, it was from our flight home to visit family on Christmas and it was miserable.
I got my baby the flu shot and rsv. I have a 3 and 5 year old. I didn't want him to be at risk for those. My mom also got flu rsv and COVID to protect herself due to health issues and baby. Winter can be a very bad time to travel. Hospitals are def always packed!
We're in the thick of cold and flu season right now.
Unless your husband is at home and you plan on staying indoors and not going food shopping, visiting the doctors, going to baby groups ect personally it all seems a bit unnecessary and you risk upsetting family. The likelihood is you will probably get a cold and your baby will too however you will probably get one even if they visit or not. But it’s entirely up to you.
I feel you. I have family flying in from Australia to stay with us for a month when my baby will be 3 weeks old. I just plan on asking to them help around the house where they can, wash their own clothes, help me sterilise stuff and obviously no holding baby if they get a cold. I need that support with my toddler but I’m not looking forward to postpartum recovery and feeding with my FIL around 😂
My mom and dad came right before I gave birth and my in-laws came 8 days after my daughter was born. We didn’t have a problem thankfully and it was in Jan
