Pediatrics Appointments

So my bbyg is going to be 3 months on the 10th but last month after her 2 month shots they said she doesn’t need to be seen until her 4 months. I’d like to know if that’s how it is fr bc I would like her to be seen every month until she 1 yr I feel like that’s best. Lmk your thoughts.

If your insurance will cover it, do whatever you want!

my peds office will see him every 2 months and that shocked me bc i thought it was every month until theyre 1

I thought it’s standard that they’re seen every two months. I never heard of anything else

We were told the same which I was a little surprised just cuz when she was born we had to stay an extra 9 days in the hospital due to her health.

The insurance covers the wellness checks. I think it’s 2 day, 2 weeks, 1 month, and then 2,4,6,9,12, 18,24 months. If I’m remembering correctly.

I’ve never heard of a pediatrician seeing a baby every month. After month 2 it’s normally every two months. You can try and see if insurance will cover an every month visit but more than likely they won’t (I work in life and health insurance) because it’s not a needed appointment and you’d have to pay out of pocket for the extra visits.

Normally in the US it's not every month but you can request it if you really want, most insurances won't cover a normal physical exam though but they will cover a visit with a concern
