Whole milk

Hi, im starting to transition my boy from formula to whole milk. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do so? He doesn't seem to like cold whole milk, so I'm not sure if I should do half formula, half milk?

I would recommend transitioning slowly (we started with 20%whole milk and worked up). But if your baby prefers warm milk you can warm the whole milk too. I just pop the bottle into a container of hot water for a bit

@Emily how often would you increase the milk?

I started 4 of formula and 2 ounces milk and have been doing more milk every two days. My daughter didn’t like cold either but now we’re at 1/5 ratio and she’s gulping it down

@Kathleen I wanted to do the process over 2 week so increase it every other day or so, but I was using breastmilk and I dried up too fast so we did it a bit quicker. She handled it just gine

@Tristana do you serve it with warm formula or how did you get her to like it cold?

You can also just add the baby rice cereal in the milk & warm it up. It give the milk a sweet taste for them

We did cold turkey with both of ours. There's no right way to do it. If he likes warm milk just warm up the whole milk some. My little guy will drink cold *sometimes* during the day but wants it warm at night for bed. Honestly I just give it a 30 second nuke in the microwave and shake well 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've just been backing down the warming time slowly
