Living with parents

Anyone here live with parents with your kids ? I am and I love the extra help and saving money but my husband doesn’t and he rather be broke and move out then to stay and save some money. We have 2 kids (4 and 2 years ) My parents have been a huge help in our lives since our kids have been born and idk what I’d do without them.

Yep! I'm here. We moved in with my parents almost a year ago now. We have 15 month old and 2.5 year old. I love the help. My husband struggles living with his in laws. He has told me he struggles with the help and says it's interfering with his parenting, or his struggles with making any decisions bc we are here. I try my best to be supportive about the situation but it sucks. I think having a good conversation about BOTH your feelings and validating that he's allowed to hate this situation even if the help is appreciated on your end might go a long way. @Leslye does he want you guys to leave ? I’m torn he wants to leave and I should accept his reasons I guess because if it was his parents I would loose my mind lol ….. but I’m the one home with the kids the most and I love having the help lol . And also saving a lot of money lol

I guess our situation is slightly different, we aren't saving anything so I'm mildly jealous there. So we couldn't leave right now even if he wanted to. I'm a stay at home mom so when my parents get home from work I love it bc I can pee on my own and I have help with bed time. He doesn't get home until the kids are in bed most nights so I dunno. I would list out your pros and cons and come up with a plan for how long you guys can stay there for your savings and help while the kids are small and before he goes crazy.

I’ve been on the other side, we live with my in laws and as helpful as they are, they also have caused a ton of stress and issues between my husband and I because they have 0 boundaries and think of us still has children ourselves. It’s worth the conversation for sure, both sides should be considerate of each others opinions and really try to understand both sides
