@Kyla thank you! FTM so I wasn’t to sure I just still want him to have some as long as I’m producing some still!
I’ve been mixing breastmilk and formula in the same bottle. I add 2-3 oz of breastmilk, then 2-3 of water for the formula, warm and add formula.
Are you latching him or pumping? My supply dropped due to me only pumping bc it wouldn’t get much out but when I started to exclusively breast feed my supply increased. Then once it built back up I fed him then pumped after and sometimes pump then feed to keep a good supply.
There’s also a couple vitamins from Walmart that helped me and lots of body armors if you haven’t tried that and want to see if it’ll increase your supply
I too don’t produce enough breast milk and my baby is on formula. I always give him boobies first as an appetizer lol then give him his bottle. He seems to be doing well & gaining weight too. I was sad I couldn’t breastfeed fully at first but am happy he still gets some of my breastmilk and we can still have that connection. ❤️ You got this mamma❣️
@Kyla I pump
@Alexis thank you🫶🏻
Hi! Yes you can mix breast milk with formula but what i would advice is that you prepare the formula in the bottle before adding the breast milk that way you’re getting the right measurements! I always add the water first and then put however many scoops and I shake it up and then I add the breast milk and warm it up together Or you can prepare a certain amount of formula in one of those pitchers and keep it ready in the fridge so that you don’t have to prepare it when getting ready to feed.
@Kyla yes I agree this is exactly what I went through too! Once I switched to EBF everything worked out and no stress of pumping too!
You can feed him breast milk then give him some formula. Also, you can put it in his cereal and give him cereal with it. You could make purées with it as well
