Job share with supply?

I came back in September 2 days a week (previously full time) but I've been asked to increase to 3 days a week as my current job share is going on leave. This is so that the class can be shared between me and another staff member. If I stay on 2 days I've been told we would get a supply in to cover the 3 days. I'm not particularly keen on 3 days as I'm trying to find a work/family balance that works for my mental health (which hasn't been great post partum). I am considering which is more stressful or a greater workload, 2 days alongside a supply or 3 days alongside a known quantity colleague? It is also quite beneficial in terms of pay, I would work 18 extra days but be paid for 29 days (including half terms, easter and summer holidays) Any thoughts or advice?

I'd say 3 days.. I job shared with a new teacher upon returning from maternity.. we clashed and she wasn't nice.. she left soon after as she was leaving me to plan her and my lessons 'so they flowed apparently" rather than working together. She left abruptly and I job shared with a supply. I won't say all supply are bad but as she'd never worked in our school she didn't know policies and to control behaviours and left within 3 weeks as she didn't need to give notice. The 2nd was alot better although she left all paperwork to me apart from her planning. She said her working hours were different on agency so used to leave when the kids left. I'm now job sharing with a HLTA in school hoping to do her teaching.. it works so much better as she's willing to learn new things and knows alot about the school and kids already. I work 3.5 days but it far less stress than contracted to 3 days but doing everything.
