@Alison Omg thank you!!! This makes me feel so much better. Do you purée it yourself or do you buy a specific brand?
Yes I got the nutribullet baby off Amazon for under $50 and it comes with storage containers & a recipe book!
Is your baby sitting up?
My pediatrician pointed us to the site solidstarts.com. It has some really helpful posts with videos to show readiness for solids. It also has great guides on how to start and food information for how to prepare and serve different foods. It’s very baby led focused so may not always align with everyone’s views on food and every baby is different but I found the posts in starting solids to be helpful. You don’t need to pay any subscription fees to read most the stuff on the site!
@Annie sitting, rolling nonstop, trying to crawl but just pushing forward with his feet 🫠
Then yeah probably some light foods especially if your baby has interest. I'd check his tongue thrust reflex too to make sure he doesn't' just shove it all out of his mouth. With my older child I started with making things like pureed green beans but I'd add like basil cause I wanted him to have spices and herbs in his life. I also really enjoyed the recipes on the website below https://babyfoode.com/blog/category/feeding-style/baby-food-purees/stage-one/
@Annie amazing! Thank you!
My pediatrician said 4 months, I waited til like 4.5 and my son loves them! I just started last week with bananas, and halfway thru the week I added oatmeal cereal in the purée too! Starting sweet potatoes this upcoming week!
