Unsettled baby

Hi all, just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same or has any advice? My little one is 7 weeks old and since day 1 he has been so unhappy and unsettled. Constantly seems uncomfortable and in pain, arching his back and crunching his legs up. He feeds well but struggles a lot with passing wind, it seems painful for him to pass. Cries pretty much all day, and needs to be in my arms because he cannot settle comfortably. I’ve tried changing formula, bottles, infacol, gripe water, infant gaviscon and now on CMPA formula but seeing no improvement. He rarely sleeps in between feeds because he seems in a lot of discomfort.

How long has baby been on CMPA milk??? Docs said it can take up to a week to see a change

It’s only been 1 day so far, so I was wondering how long it takes to see a change x

Sounds like colic :( xx

My boy was like this from 3 weeks old he’s now 7 weeks old, turned out to be silent reflux, was given gaviscon and it’s helped so much I was told if I wasn’t happy with him on the gaviscon then he could be prescribed omeprazole and I’ve heard great things x

This is exactly how my baby is, she is on omeperzole for reflux which has helped the acid pain but still exactly the same for everything else, we have been looking into CMPA so will be interesting to see if you see any improvements x

Sounds like my baby. Also tried gaviscon and it worked for a day or so and back at square one x

It can take 4 weeks to see improvements when cutting dairy. We saw a change by day 4, much more settled. We still need to get the silent reflux under control though

My first was like this and it was silent reflux. She was on omeprazole until about six months. Xx

You could try looking into taking baby to a cranial osteopath, they treat issues like this. We had 2 sessions for baby boy and he has been way more relaxed and far less scrunchy.

Has he been checked for a tongue tie? My 8 week old was like this but the tongue tie release made him a whole new baby, released a lot of tension and helped him take a lot less air in when feeding.

Exactly how my babies been and just been put on nutramigen lgg been told it can take up to 2 weeks 😒
