Have you ever gone to the OB when you were on your period?

I just got my 🩸an hour ago and I have an appointment tomorrow. I literally have never done this before and I’m thinking of rescheduling. Tbh i’ve been dealing with some issues lately and needed a second opinion so this is my first time even going to this doctor. Would you go?

What’s the appointment for? You could call and inform them & ask if you should reschedule there’s certain tests (like urine tests) that get thrown off by menstrual blood in the urine but other than that there’s like nothing wrong with going anyways if you’d rather not call and ask lol

It’s not recommended if you’re having a a Pap smear as it could obscure your results and depending on the amount of blood you may have to come back in for a recollection. If you’re having pelvic pain or signs of possible infection you’re good to come in. But when in doubt call your drs office :) I am speaking from several years of working with ob/gyn’s! Hope it helps

They always told me that it’s okay if i’m on my period during a pap but i guess every where is different and all doctors have a different opinion. They say it’s less “painful “ in a way and a lot easier lol. but im not 100% sure i would just go and make sure you let them know you are on your period.
