It can be unfortunately…. I would try to keep them upright for at least 15 minutes after and try to burp them a few times through the bottle ! As long as they are continuing to fish weight it’s nothing to be worried about

@Aspen she’s breast fed, find if i burp straight away she’ll be sick still, just wondering if it is normal or if it reflux or milk allergy there so many things

How old is Bub?

So baby’s posset or vomit. Posset is a bit of spit up which could be many things. You may have fast let down or your baby may guzzle initially before steadily getting into rhythm. It doesn’t sound like a milk allergy - sounds like reflux and some babies may always spit up after feed and grow out of it or continue. As long baby is comfortable and gaining weight then it’s ok.

@Trish 4 weeks

it’s reflux. may need pepcid or to cut things out of your diet.

@Abi totally normal at that age. Until they are about 3-4 months old, their little muscles haven’t quite tightened up yet so GER/D (gastroesophageal reflux/disorder) is quite common. As long as bubs only spitting up a little bit (1-2tbsp each time), is still gaining weight and not overly fussy, she should be okay.

While common it’s not normal. You can try burping her more often, feeding sitting more up during feeds rather than laid back, and sitting up 20-30 minutes after a feed

yep. my breastfed baby spits up and can be quite sicky. it’s normal at this age
